Ruth's Bridal and Black Tie

First off, I loved my dress from here, it was beautiful. I ever really liked the service there during my appointment the girl was very helpful and sweet. It wasn't until after I paid my deposit that the service went downhill. I placed the order when they told me to - 7 months ahead of time. I was told the dress would be in by the first to middle of July. I alllowed extra time and made an appointment for my dress fittings to start in mid August with a lady from my hometown who I had used for alterations since high school. I was told they would call me to let me know the status of my dress at the first of July or when it cam in to the store. At the middle to end of July I called to check in because I still had not heard from them. I was told that my dress was not there yet but it was being shipped from the warehouse in the next few days and would be in next week. No one called the next week either so I called the following week to check and was told yet again that it was shipping from the warehouse and would be in the next week. This went on every week till the end of September. I was not talking to some sales clerk who didn't know anything either - I was talking to the owner herself. My dress came in over two months late. Since the dress was so late I had to cancel all of my alterations with the lady in my hometown & by the time the dress came in it was too late to be able to drive home two or three times. I had to use their in-store seamstress. It cost me much more than it would have at home but I will say Amy did a great job. The store didn't do anything to help me or make the situation any better and they never apologized for the delay or the fact that they never actually called when they said they would. Very unprofessional - as soon as they get your money they don't care what happens to you.

The ladies at Ruth's Bridal were spectacular! We used them for all wedding attire - the wedding gown, bridesmaids' dresses, tuxes, and flower girl dresses. They were very responsive to all our needs...even allowing me to exchange my wedding dress after I had second thoughts about my initial purchase. Also, they did all our alterations without any problems. Wonderful!

Ruth's Bridal was very helpful in the selection of my bridal gown. The staff was very helpful and informative. Couldn't be happier!

Not a good experience. The employees do not make you feel special, in fact I felt like a burden when I needed different sizes or something. My dress came in over a month later than what I was told. I was never contacted about my dress being delayed and when I called in, they told me that they could not find where my dress was. A week later, I called in to see if it was in yet and I was told one more week. When I called a week later (on the day I set up an appointment to come pick up the dress) to make sure my dress was in before I made the trip to the store, the clerk told me that the store was closing and that I'd have to come another day. Overall, unprofessional and unkind. Wouldn't recommend. I even paid more for a crinoline skirt from another shop because I refused to go back to Ruth's.

I loved my whole experience working with the staff at Ruth's Bridal. They were very attentive and listened to my idea of how I envisioned myself looking the day of my wedding. The sales consultant pulled a few dresses for me and I fell in love with the first one I tried on. I ended up with that very one! Ruth's was the one and only bridal store that I even went to. From the time I bought my dress to the week before my wedding when I brought it in to have it pressed---they were always friendly and willing to answer questions and assist me. I have recommended Ruth's to several other bride's to be and they have loved Ruth's too!

Great shop... they were fun and helpful! I purchased my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, and jewelry there! I really appreciated their honest opinion when I was too indecisive to make a choice. Definitely make an appointment - they can be a busy shop!

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to this place for anything, they will lie to you.. I purchased my wedding dress there, the clamps on the halter were to far apart and the owner promised she would fix them, I left my dress there just for that purpose, to get the clamps fixed, I picked up my dress and was assured everything was perfect, I believed them, the day of my wedding I put the dress on only to discover that the clamps had NOT been touched and the dress that fit perfectly 3 weeks prior was now 10 inches to big, the dress had been let out for some unknown reason... My mother n law had to sew the dress at the top, and had to sew the dress to my bra and panties just to get it to stay on my body.. I called ruths bridal the following Monday, spoke with the owner who said I was lying, she swears she fixed everything that needed to be fixes but I have proof that she didn't, I told her I would bring her pictures to proof the dress was messed up, she hung up on me... I don't appreciate the way I was treated and the fact that they would not take responsibility for their mistake, they are just out to make a buck. They should be ashamed... You will be very dissatisfied if you go here for your perfect dress because you won't find it, you will only get ripped off!!!!

I had a January wedding and had my bridesmaids order their dresses through Ruth's Bridal by the first week in September. I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks for the dresses to come in (should have been here by the first week in November). The dresses didn't get here until about a week and half before the wedding. I tried to contact them regarding this. Whenever I called, most of the time I would get the answering machine and never received a call back. I would not recommend Ruth's.

The women in this bridal shop were the best I found in all my shopping. The women who helped me got a quick understanding of what I was looking for and then she picked a bunch out that fit that description. She also had me try on different styles to help me get an idea of what looked best on me. She was NOT pushy, but very helpful in the whole process. It was a fun experience

I purchased my wedding gown and bridesmaids gowns at Ruth's Bridal. I was very pleased with my wedding gown. It was a sample dress so I received a nice discount. It took a long time for the bridesmaids gowns to arrive, but I think that was due to the designer, not the store. They steamed all the dresses the week of the wedding. I would recommend this store.

The did a great job. My dress was beautiful and I didn't spend a lot on it.

Service was overall very good. I was put with the owner on my first visit - she was amazing. She gave me some much appreciated advice for my veils/shoes/slip/jewelry that the store where I bought my dress never discussed with me.

Oh my gosh I loved this place! The women there are so professional and caring to your needs! I got a MAGGIE SCOTTERO taffeta dress and loved it. I tried looking at davids bridal and found nothing that was as beautiful as my dress! And it was very reasonable! This place is in Kentucky which is where Im from, I live in virginia with my husband and I flew home just so I could go Shopping with my mom and share my "THIS IS THE ONE" moment with her! It was worth the trip! Oh and my best friend had gotten her dress there too! I would defnitily recommmend this place to any bride!

My dress was beautiful, but the employees aren't very nice. Don't make you feel special!

Ruth's is your one-stop shop! I purchased my dress at Ruth's after looking at both David's Bridal and at Wedding Wonderland. I could not have made a better choice! The associate helped me choose a variety of dresses, and even suggested dresses for my bodytype. One she suggested that I wasn't sure about was the one I ended up buying! It looked so good on me - she really knew what she was talking about! Every time I went in to the store I had incredible service. I also purchased all of my bridesmaid dresses there. One had a problem with the wiring, but Ruth's was very prompt in fixing it, and did not try to get me to "just deal with it" or to fix it with my own money or on my own time. I was so impressed with their service! The selection of dresses at Ruth's is so unique and beautiful! It is very hard to choose just one :) This is definitely the place to come for your dress, bridesmaid dresses, and all your accessories!

I tried looking at David's Bridal for my wedding gown before I went to Ruth's. I wasted my time even trying to find something at David's Bridal. I wanted something unique, one of a kind and I found exactly that at Ruth's. My dress was from the Moonlight Bridal collection. The women at Ruth's Bridal were very helpful in helping me choose a dress. They were so calm when dealing with future brides, which I believe is very important! I would recommend every future bride go here to get the designer dress of their dreams!

I had a pretty good experience with Ruth's Bridal. The salespeople were very helpful and were willing to help me with what I needed. They were especially good when on my way out at closing time (after not finding exactly what I wanted for the price I needed), I saw the perfect dress on a manequin by the door. I hadn't noticed it on the way in. They were kind enough to take it off the manequin and let me try it on. It was perfect and that was the one I chose. My dress was ordered and arrived in a timely manner.

The dress was a bit pricey and I found my bridesmaid's dresses elsewhere for less, but they were so helpful and really tried to work with me.

Dresses need to be ordered about 6 months before the wedding date. They also do not do any altering at their location, but do provide a list of recommended alterers.

They were very helpful and very professional. The veil I wanted had a small tear in it, but they immediately ordered me a new one and shipped it to me in Texas (I went ahead and took the torn one to wear for brial portraits) for the ceremony with no extra charge at all. They did all they could to help! I highly recommend them.
