River City Lighting Design

We are so grateful to River City Lighting Design for lighting our wedding. It was such an integral part in making the night so special for us. Our venue was an old Catholic cathedral built in 1903, and without being taken care of in many years lets just say it had a lot of character inside. With the original stained glass from Munich, Germany made in 1903 the place is pretty amazing, but no one would have known that without Brads lighting. On Thursday, our wedding party walked into the building for the rehearsal and wondered why in the world we would have our wedding there (some of them shared those thoughts with us ... awesome). On Friday, after RCLD's lights were all set, the wedding party walked in and were completely blown away. He made that room come alive for our ceremony and our reception. So many of our friends/guests at the wedding said it was the most beautiful wedding they had seen, and thats all due to Brads work. On top of making the place look incredible, they were incredible to work with ... came early, very professional, adapted everything he had to fit our venue and even checked with us and made sure the night was just what we wanted. From start to finish, the folks at River City Lighting Design were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The preliminary discussion and organization of plans at the venue really eased our minds and allowed us to fully comprehend exactly what we were receiving for our event. Their input and knowledge with lighting, coordination, and event planning proved to be far superior then what we ever expected. The two men that provided the service were extremely professional, fun and friendly, and very allusive when setting everything up. It was almost a shock for us when we made our grand entrance seeing our full vision for the room come to fruition. That being said, River City Lighting was the best addition we could have made to our reception. We had little knowledge of the importance that lighting plays in terms of creating the exact type of tone one would want for their prospective venue. The beautiful colors that washed the walls of our ballroom at the water tower for our wedding reception not only drew a lot of attention but also created an exciting and elegant celebratory atmosphere. We gave River City Lighting a tough job at our wedding. The raw venue was bare, with no energy. Once Brad worked his magic, however, the room was unrecognizable. The once lifeless room was saturated with blues, purples, pinks, and reds in the form of up-lights along the blacked-out windows, lighting framing the dance floor, and accentuating colors on the hanging lanterns. He were very attentive to the mood of the music, and changed the lighting accordingly, and communicated well with our DJ to make sure they were both on the same page, all to make our reception the most exciting party we or any of our guests had ever seen. It's already been a month since the wedding, but our friends are still talking about the reception. -- Shannon
