I used J Crew for my bridesmaid dresses, which were AMAZING. I had bought the dress earlier in the summer for $98 and when it went on sale for $38 a few months later I had my girls scoop it up. It was a great dress for a great price that the girls really are excited about wearing again!

Lovely Dress simple and elegant

I ordered my dress and my bridesmaids' dresses from J. Crew online and couldn't be happier. They fit everyone perfectly. We had a question at one point about shipping and I was happy to be able to talk to a "real" person and not a recording. Plus, ordering online allowed me to skip the ordeal of trying on 259273904 dresses in store.

I bought a timeless gown from them online. I was unsure of what size to order so I contacted their specialists, who gave me the measurements for the dress I wanted. Normally I am a size 2 at J. Crew, but based on my largest measurement, my bust measurements, they recommended I purchase a size 6 dress, and get the rest tailored. For the most part their recommendation was correct. The straps were long, so I still had to get the bust taken in and straps shortened. The length was almost perfect, and usually dresses and pants are too long for me. The waist had to be taken in a lot. I went through them because I wanted something reasonably priced, that looked timeless, and hated trying on wedding dresses. the dress I bought was $350.00 and beautiful.

I bought a beautiful, very simple gown on line. I had to get tailored to enlarge bust area, however. But they did send me extra matching material for free, so that was great. Price could not be beat! I am in my 40's, so I did not want a traditional flouncy dress, this was sophisticated and perfect for me. Highly recommend! Only down side is not being able to try on before you purchase (although you can return).

I ordered 3 dresses from J Crew online for my 3 bridesmaids. It was great because I was able to ship to each of them in their various locations where they each lived so that part was convenient. Each girl called J. Crew to ask which size they should order based on their measurements. If any of them were between sizes they ordered 2 sizes and then returned the one that did not fit to the store. Quite often they have free shipping offers so that made things convenient, unfortunately very few stores carry the bridesmaid dresses. We had the silk tricotine short sophia dress in light pewter which turned out nicely-the dresses are beautiful, flowy and flattering! There are other styles so you can mix and match as a option. The prices are reasonable(I would know-I've been a bridesmaid 7 times!). Only one girl had to do some basic alteration but that was it! One of my bridesmaids loved it so much she used it for her wedding in a different color(vintage burgundy-which is also beautiful).

J. Crew has excellent apparel for weddings. I purchased my wedding dress for under $300 and my bridesmaids dresses were on sale and had a wide variety of sizes for my wedding party. The color selections were great, styles were classic, and you knew what you were getting with the quality of J. Crew. It was quick and professional. They have a great consulting staff to help with style and color questions in addition to sizes and shipping. Great experience! Awesome way to save money!
