I loved my dress I got from David's Bridal. I got it for a good price, I didn't have to get it altered so I can not comment on alterations. The consultant that assisted me for choosing a wedding dress was great! She listened to everyones imput and worked with my budget to find me the perfect dress. I decided to go elsewhere for my bridesmaids dresses, one of the reasons was that when I went in for my bridesmaids to look at dresses in the store, the consultant that had assisted with my dress didn't really help much with my bridesmaids, I actually pulled dresses for them to try on, the other reason was because even though their bridesmaids dresses are really nice, they come with a higher price tag than I wanted to pay for their dresses. We were on a budget and paying for all the dresses instead of the bridesmaids paying for their own so we chose dresses from a local department store for a fraction of the price and they looked amazing and fit without alterations.

My dress fit perfectly, but it was VERY pricy to get the bridesmaids dresses altered. Around 100 a dress. One girl got hers altered in her home town at a local alter shop and it was 18 and she had more done than any other girl. And hers fit better after the alterations than the girls that had them done at the bridal shop. The girls there were fantastic and were very thorough with helping me to plan the wedding and the dresses were not that expensive, but the alterations more than doubled the costs of each dress.

David's Bridal provided me with several horrible pre-wedding experiences...
First I went there because I didn't want to spend a fortune on my wedding dress. Well I did get a great deal, and my dress was really beautiful. So on the first day there I found my dress, tried on a sample size that was about a size too small, but I got it zipped up. I had already changed my clothes and was releived being out of that snug dress, so my stomach was a little loose. The attendant who was helping me out proceded to ask me if I was pregnant. I was furious.
If this was not enough, my bridesmaids dresses. This could go on forever, but I'll try to make it short. I picked out my bridesmaid dresses and had all of my girls go get fitted in what I thought was resonable time. Well they discontinued the dress without ever telling me. I thought maybe it would be standard practice that if you are discontinuing a dress that a bride has picked out, that maybe you would call the bride to let her know to get her bridesmaids in so they could purchase them. Well that's not all. Seems no one at DB knew what was going on, because one of my bridesmaids went to order hers and they told her it wasn't discontinued but that she'd have to order it from another David's store. So they called around for her to different DB stores and found one that offered the dress, but the told her she had to pay for extra shipping. Which, when you order a dress from David's, unless you buy it off the rack in the store your in, they have to ship it from their headquarter store, usually without extra pricing for shipping (unless you have it rushed). Another bridesmaid of mine was told from our local store that she herself had to call around all of the hundereds of DB stores to find the dress, they couldn't check an internal site or anything to at least point her to a store she could order the discontinued dress from?
Finally, I had to take my dress back to get it steamed so it we could have it altered (by the way they way overcharge on alterations, they said $100 just to hem the bottom of my dress). My mom went to pick up the dress a few days after they had steamed it. First they told her they couldn't find it, then they brought it out and it was completely full of wrinkles still, hadn't been touched, after she had waited there 30 minutes for them to find my dress.
Just to wrap it up, David's was my overall worst experience as a bride. I'm really a laid back person and many people I worked with said I was the most laid back bride they had ever met, but Davids just really was a terrible experience for a bride.

I would never have bought my dress here because I had heard bad things, but I was behind on getting my flowergirl dresses, so I went in. I found 2 of what I wanted. Then, one didn't fit and we needed to exchange (you can't return anything) and they couldn't rush order from a store that was only 45 miles away. We had to drive to a different town to go to the same store, as if a bride is not busy enough. Terrible. I won't even set foot in one of these again. Cheap.

I ordered my dress ten months before the wedding. It took two months to come in, and the dress was dirty and the zipper was broken. I sent it back, and waited another two months for a new dress to come in. At the alterations, the woman was not very receptive to what I wanted my dress to look like, and there were a few pin holes in my dress and dirt along the bottom that she told me "don't worry about that...it's not that big a deal"

I looked through their dresses several times but never found anything that didn't seem overpriced. However, the people there are wonderful and very helpful and I did purchase my undergarments from them.

I had a good experience with this store. I like the salesperson, though I could tell she was a salesperson meaning that she knew how to get my mother and I to spend more money. Of course chances are, you are not going to walk out of the store with only spending $99.00. Also, go to someone else to get alterations, you will save a ton! I was happy with the store.

They were very helpful in all aspects of our bridal party attire. Especially since my wedding party was spread out in different states.

eh there was a girl that i dealt with that i didnt want to deal with so i would go in on her days off just to get my wedding stuff done. . . . then there was this lady named sarah that was the mot helpful of them all. I felt like she knew me and what I was needing Unlike the other girl i had dealt with.. mainly because the 1st girl was all gloomy and made me not want to get married then Sarah was like hey with a smile and there for anything i needed help with. i remember her name because she introduced herself and she made it so much easier and the other girl i dunno if she did or not but yeah i didnt like her anyway.

Everything went well at my dress fitting. The sales girl helped me with everything from the fitting since I was going to be 5 months pregnant at my wedding. And I needed something that was going to fit perfectly.
Help was excellent, the dress was gorgeous, and everything was perfect with my wedding.

The gals at David's Bridal in Paducah were wonderful. From the first time I went in there, they knew my name. They took the time to get to know me and what i wanted in a wedding dress. I was very pleased with my experience there and I would recommend this David's Bridal to anyone.

Everything was great, I loved my dress, they shipped it to the store by my parents house which was 8 hrs away. I did have one problem, a sales lady helping me try on the dress told me that I needed to lose a few pounds before my wedding, that was very unprofessional and rude!
