I wouldn't necessarily recommend Bridal and Formal to a bride simply because once you purchse the gown, they are done with you. They don't offer alterations, steaming, etc... It is very inconvenient. You have to search for these services yourself, and being a new bride I didn't know where to start.

The dress I found was perfect and they have hundreds of dresses. What I didn't like was that my consultatnt left half way through because she had another client. We were all in one large room....You end up comparing yourself to other girls. So over all, I loved the result...but The service wasn't that great. They did knock several hundred off the dress to make the sell...so that was nice!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I went dress shopping in June for a December wedding less than 6-months later. I found a wonderful Alfred Angelo gown. CB&F gave me a wonderful price on the dress and had it delivered exactly when they promised it to me. Betsy was such a help at dress selection. She gave honest feedback and had wonderfully practical suggestions. I went to this place because it was recommended by a ton of my friends who had been there. I'm sure it will continue to be a big help to lots of brides to come. If you go, definitely go on a weekday and off season if you can manage it. Weekends there are super crazy and you will want to avoid that stress.

I loved going to Bridal and Formal. The consultants (I worked with Sally) were fantastic and really knew what they were doing. Sally selected a number of dresses for me and after trying them on we decided together the direction I would go in and what styles worked best for me. We landed on the perfect dress and I could not have been happier!

I went to Bridal and Formal for my second day of dress shopping. I already had a dress in mind that I liked and wanted to try on. We had to wait for about 30 minutes before a bridal consultant was available. But, this gave us a chance to look through all the racks of dresses. The bridal consultant we got was fantastic! She knew all the dresses available in the store. When I told her the look I was going for, she knew exactly the dress for me. I ended up going with the dress she picked out for me, not the one I originally wanted. The best part was the dress was "off the rack" and literally a quarter of the cost of the other one I originally wanted! Bridal and Formal has a lot of selection and great staff who know what looks good on every body type! All the staff were friendly and professional. The only gripe I have, is I ended up ordering a sash to go with my dress, and they told me in January that it will be done in 3-4 months. So when I called in April, they said it would be ready in May. When I called in May, they said June. This went on and on, until finally it came in the first of July! It wasn't a big deal, because it was just an accessory, however, the staff should have given me a better estimate on when it would come in.

Everything was great. My dress was beautiful, the shoes were dyed exactly as they were supposed to be, and all the other accessories were perfect.

The bridal place to go in Cincinnati, OH. They were so helpful to me. I had a short engagement (6 months) because we wanted to get married on my grandparents anniversary. I found THE dress. It had just come in, was beautiful, but would take 6 months to get in. The manager came and saw the dress on me ... stated she loved the dress on me, sold me their floor sample and gave me a discount. The dress was in perfect condition - as it had only been tried on 2 - 3 times before I got it. They were also very helpful with accessories and all that stuff. They gave me no problems when I decided to switch out my veil.One tip - they have a new layout, and do prom dresses too now. If you are dress shopping during spring/ summer ... make an appointment and try to avoid Saturday mornings!

They ordered my dress way to big and had to resend it in. It wasn't back until 2 weeks before the wedding and I still had togt it taken in more. The girl that helped us the third time we were there was rude and it seemed like she just wanted us to leave. They were good to my bridesmaids though even though they all lived out of state, and I don't think any of them actually liked the dress they picked out, but that was their own fault really. I would recommend them for their selection, but not for the customer service.

You MUST visit this store on the weekday. Do NOT go on the weekend. For my sister's wedding we had to go on the weekend (she's a high school teacher) and we had pretty terrible service and the woman brought out nothing that my sister wanted and seemed to have little interest in helping us.I went back for my wedding on a weekday. We had Sarah helping us and the store was quiet. She spent so much time helping us and had lots of ideas. I found my perfect gown, but was unsure because I don't live in Ohio anymore. They ensured me they could ship it and took $100 of the price!!!Then, when my shoes from a department store fell through, I called them and couldn't remember the shoe I tried on at the store. I described it and she knew exactly what I was talking about. They had it dyed to match and shipped in just a few weeks.I had a great experience, but I think the key is coming on a weekday.

Bridal & Formal by far had the LARGEST selection of wedding dresses. The sales lady who helped me was extremely nice and helpful and had tons of experience. I would definitely recommend this vendor!

Thee selection at Cinci Bridal was very wide. You are given an assistant to help you find dresses. I recommend bringing in pictures of what you like and scheduling several hours. For both my sister and myself, the assistant was actually the one who picked the dresses we got!Generally, it takes up to half an hour to get an assistant, and longer to order/check out. If you don't like crowds, this is not the place for you. Warning to the reserved: there aren't true "dressing rooms" like you see at David's bridal or other places. There's basically a large area with tiny curtained off sections for you to undress and change back into your clothes. You do come out in your undies so the assistant can put your dress on. Even if you get a "private" dressing room, you're still going to be seen.I opted out of the private room, and I had no problem with the large room. My sister, being somewhat self-conscious, had difficulty even in the private room.

Cincinnati Bridal and Formal had a great selection of gowns in the mid- to high to outrageously high price ranges. If you're on a low budget, look elsewhere. They also had a good assortment of sizes, although not as many selections for women who wear above a size 14. I found my dress on the clearance rack for just $200 but it was two sizes too small. I asked the attendant if it could be altered and she said it couldn't. I then suggested altering it to a corset-back, which I had heard elsewhere, and she said she didn't even think of that and that a corset back would work after all. I was a little disappointed in her lack of alteration knowledge; had I not suggested it, I might have not gotten the dress of my dreams. The attendant who helped me was professional and courteous, but the store employs lots of teenagers to rehang dresses on the rack, etc... When I walked in, there were about 5 - 6 of them standing around gossiping and horseplaying. I couldn't even walk down some aisles looking for dresses because they were in the way and would not move, even for a browsing customer.
